No pats on the back for beating a McDavid-less Edmonton team, but still a gutsy performance from a thin lineup, and survived some boneheaded play in the first period.

Now time for the mandatory bellyaching about the PP... Does anyone remember the last time Ellis actually hit the net with a shot on the Power Play? I know there's not many options right now, but why is he even out there at this point? Other than the six million or so per year from over the summer...
